Well, It has definately been a challenging week. Last Tuesday a nieghbor asked if we would be interested in a puppy. They had found her wandering around the neighborhood, and wanted to find a home for her. My first reaction was NO. But then I saw her and something told me yes. LOL. We decided to keep her in our backyard and take care of her while we looked for her family. Of course we fell in love with her immediately. So today I took her to the vet to get checked out, and they scanned her and found a microchip. I was really sad. I know that it was the right thing to do, but I was already attached! So we said our goodbyes and left her there for her "real" family to claim. An hour later, ( and about 30 minutes of crying) the vet called back and said the owners didn't want her, and we could have her!! The McKinley family is now proud owners of a year old healthy Golden Retriever, already spayed and microchipped! God is so good.
